OBITUARY.

MR J. A. DUTHIE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, M*y 8. The death is announced of Mr John Alexander Duthie, aged 79. He was said to be the first white child born in the Milton district. He was a stock agent and founder and first director of the Bruce Woollen Coy. and the South Otago Freezing Coy. He was Mayor of Milton nine times. MR HUGH MACKENZIE. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 8. The death lias occurred of Mr Hugh MacKenzie, aged 86, the owner of Walter Peaks and Mount Nicholas stations. He was a pastoralist who was widely known.
