ARGENTINE MISSION.
WELCOMED BY PRINCE OF AVALES.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Feb. 7. The Prince of Wales, in the uniform of a colonel of the Irish Guards, was present at Victoria Station this afternoon to welcome, on behalf of the King, Dr. Julio Roca, Vice-President of the Argentine Republic, who, with members of his mission to Britain, arrived by the Royal train from Dover. On greeting 'His Excellency as he stepped from the train, the Prince introduced him and his colleagues to the Foreign Secretary, Sir John Simon, to representatives of the Army, Navy and Air Force, and to Lord Trenchard, Chief Commissioner of Police.
The party, accompanied bv the Prince of Wales, drove in Royal carriages to the Carlton Hotel escorted by detachments of the First and Second Life Guards. Earlier in the afternoon, on reaching Dover by mail steamer from France, the members of the mission were greeted by Admiral Sir Henry Buller, Groom-in-Waiting to the King, who is specially attached to the mission. A guard of honour was drawn up at the quayside, and military and civil authorities were present to welcome the guests.
