INJURIES TO HEAD.

ACCIDENT TO SCOUT. Shortly before the Manawatu Boy Scouts struck camp at Ngaputahi, Pohangina, this morning, an accident somewhat marred the even tenor that had been maintained. During a swimming excursion one of the boys, Norman Adamson, aged 14 years, who resides at 50 Stanley Avenue, took a dive off the bank of the Pohangina River, but entered shallow water, with the result that his head struck a rock. He was brought to the bank and the Free Ambulance was summoned. Investigation showed that the unfortunate boy had sustained severely lacerated wounds on the head which necessitated his removal to the Palmerston North Hospital.
