FRIENDLY SOCIETIES’ PATIENTS.
CONFERENCE WITH HOSPITAL BOARD. Last evening, in the City Council Chambers, a two hours’ conference of representatives of the Palmerston North Hospital Board and tire Friendly Societies’ Council was held to give consideration -to the Friendly Societies’ Hospital Association scheme with regard to the payment of its patients in the Hospital. Mr J. K. Hornblow, chairman of the Hospital Board, presided and there were also present: Messrs A. E. Mansford, R. L. C. Aitchison and A. J. Phillipps, representing the board, and Miss Rosanoski and Messrs J. Mewett, P. Hobday (Feilding), H. Sharman, L. G. Nortliey (secretary of the scheme), O. Prouse, P. V. Burns and H. Hughes. There was a very thorough and cordial discussion on various asp-bets of the matter and when the conference concluded a scheme 'acceptable to the representatives of both bodies had been drown up. The details will be submitted to the next meeting of the Hospital Board and are withheld from publication in the meantime.
