CITY RELIEF WORKERS.
PALMERSTON NORTH’S REQUEST. Advice was • received by telegram from Mr J. A. Nash, M.P., yesterday, by the Mayor that he had had a further interview with the Minister and Unemployment Board, who had arranged to ineet to-day to consider the request from Palmerston North for better consideration for relief workers. The Mayor replied to Mr Nash as follows: —“Urge Minister and board to act quickly. ' Opinion here strong in resentment of different treatment local men to main centres.”
