BROADWAY TENT MISSION.
A large company of pcoplo enjoyed one of the best mission meetings of the special series last night when Mr Harry Dawson, the Australian inter-denominational evangelist, spoke on “Russia —Revolution —Ruin.” Ensign Thorno resumed his command of the singing, Pastor Richards led in prayer, Airs Dawson sang special pieces and Air H. Princo (who led the singing whilo Ensign Thorno was away) accompanied on tho piano. The Missioner based his subject on Ezok. 38, 1:23. “Aluch has been written by all kinds of people concerning Russia—• much contention has been . arousod, but most agree at least that a revolution lias taken place in that great country. There are those in this country who look upon revolution ns a probablo outcome of the present crisis. There is a warped mentality which cherishes tho thought of revolution and who look upon Russia as a kind of a promised land. Never in tho history of tho world —not even in tho darkness of the middle ages —havo circumstances conspired to breed revolutionary thought as in our day. Revolution is tho eompleto overthrow of tho standards of society and the degeneration of tho people bolow the standards of tho beast. Revolution is a fatal plungo into a cavern of darkness. Externally Russia has infected other nations with her propaganda.” Here the speaker gave details of insurrection and crime in England, Australia, New Zealand, China, India, of which there was documentary evidence of having been inspired from Moscow. Air Dawson likened the final plungo of Russia to a blazing ship which was seen coming down the Niagara River and was finally destroyed over tho great falls.
