AVIATOR CRASHES.

CAPTAIN BERTH AM’S MISFORTUNE. Received December 13, 1.50 p.m. SOURABAYA, Dec. 13. 1 In attempting to take off at 4 o’clock this morning, Captain Hans Bertram’s aeroplane, which was' too heavily loaded, failed to rise. It ran into a ditch at the end of the field and crashed. The landing gear and the propeller were smashed.

Captain Bertram and his mechanic, Mr Allen, were not injured.
