CONGREGATIONAL LADIES’ GUILD.
The final meeting of the year of the Congregational Church Guild was held on Tuesday in the guild room, Mrs Bycroft presiding. A report of the year’s work was given by the secretary, which disclosed a year of steady progress. The financial statement was given by the trea.surcr a nd it was decided to hand £2O to the church funds.
After the business was finalised, the ladies adjourned fo the school ball and. with their friends, were the guests of the officers of the guild. An enjoyable programme was presented, those contributing being: Mrs Prince, Mrs Dawson, Sirs Gourla.v (solos), Mrs Prince and Mrs Dawson (duet); and Mrs Gourlay, harp solo. Mrs Bycroft gave a recitation which proved very amusing. During an interval, a dainty afternoon tea was served, the hostesses being Mesdames Bvcroft. Cobh, Stairs, Evans and Nieliolis. Thanks to the performers were voiced by the president. who closed the meeting with prayer.
