At the Victorian tennis championship tournament to-day, H. Vines beat . B. Tonkin (Victoria), 2—6, 6—o, 4—6, 6—2, 6—2 :J. Van Ryn beat J. Willard (Victoria), 6—-1, 6 —l, 6—4; K. Gledhill beat D. Turnbull (South Australia), o—6, 6—2, I—6 7—5, 6—2. In the doubles A. Allison and Van Ryn beat A. Hassett and L. Schwartz, 6—2, 6—2; H. Vines and K, Gledhill beat B. Tonkin and J. Purcell (Victoria), 4—6, 6—3, 12—10.
