MANCHURIAN DISPUTE.
EXPOSITION OF VIEWS.
_ GENEVA, Dec. 7. The TJeague of Nations Assembly today listened to a Jong exposition on the Manchurian dispute from the Chinese and Japanese delegates. Afterward the iOrish, Czecho-Slovakian, Swedish, and Norwegian delegates expressed their views on the problem, generally advocating acceptance of the Lytton Commission’s report and nonrecognition of the Manchukuo State. JAPANESE MOVEMENT. SELANGHAI, Dec. 7. As a result of a surprisingly swift movement along the Chinese eastern railway, the Japanese now control the line from Harbin to Manchuli. Their vanguard entered the latter city yesterday. At present it is uncertain what force Japan will leave in Manchuli, but it is believed it will be sufficient to maintain peace on the border. CO-OPERATION WITH SOVIET. TOKIO, Dec. 7. At a Cabinet meeting the War Minister reported the successful termination of the Manchuli operations. He said he was confident that Japan and Manchukuo in closest co-operation with the Soviet authorities could maintain peace in the Far East.
