BROADWAY TENT MISSION.
At the Marquee Mission on Tuesday night the Australian evangelist. Mr Harry Dawson, spoke on “The Divine Plan of the Ages,” being the first of a series of prophetical addresses the missioner is delivering. “With God nothing happens by chance, ” said the speaker. ‘While the plans of man frequently fail to materialise those of God are fulfilled with unerring accuracy. God has a plan for the planets—a plan for man and a plan of the ages. Each is a counterpart to the other. ... , “There are three principal ages spoken of in scripture: the Antediluvian age extending from the fall to the flood. The present age dates from the flood to the Second Coming of Christ, and. the Age of Ages. This last age is a dual age composed of (a) the Milennium; and (bjl the perfect age. The psalmist says, lhou visitest him.” When God visited man in the flesh in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ, no less than IC9 predictions of Old Testament prophecy were h ter ally fulfilled. When that distinguished British general, Lord AUenby, immediately after attending a prayer meeting, rode to the Gates of Jerusalem, dismounted his charger and with bare head walked in and captured Jerusalem in 1917 prophecy written 1680 years previously was literally fulfilled. This also proved to be a turning point in our destiny, representing as it did the beginning of the end of the present age. (See Luke 21-24.) That eminent prophetical scholar. Dr. Grattin Guiness writing over 50 years ago, said Biblical students of prophecy might expect
some great happening in regard to Palestine and the scattered Jewish race in 1917.’ The famous Balfour manifesto after the Peace Conference was the beginning of the fulfilment of a multiplicity of prophecies, some of which date back over 4000 years. And when you survey the wreckage of this destitute world you have the literal fulfilment of many prophecies in general dating back thousands of years and of our Lord’s in particular as recorded in part of Matthew 24. Prophecies accurately describing conditions that would exist immediately prior to the end of this age.” Mr Dawson will speak to-night on Crumbling Civilisation. To-morrow (Friday) night he will show pictures of Australia at Salvation Army Hall. There will also be a concert programme.
