Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. Mr _E. T. Norris, the Registrar of the University of New Zealand, denied that the algebra paper at the University entrance examination bad been set for three hours as stated in a telegram from Dunedin. He said that it was set as a two hour paper and this lact was also set out in tho examination syllabus. Telegrams adI vising tho supervisors of the error were sent out, and, although 1 these arrived at various places at different times, the supervisors were aware of the position and acted upon >t before getting the telegraphed instructions. In Wellington the error was .rectified almost at the start of the examination. The matter .would be brought before the examiner. lie said that the executive would see that whatever should be done would be done.
