(From Our Own Correspondent.) SANDON. Nov. 24. A very successful garden party was held at tho residence of Mr and Mrs A. K. Drew on Wednesday afternoon. The function was organised by the local branch of the Women’s Institute and the proceeds were in aid of the British and Foreign Bible Society. There was a fair attendance and a very pleasant time was spent with music provided by wireless- and - competitions. Great interest was taken in the butterfly hunt organised by Mrs C'ossum. Mrs H. J. Fagan tied for first place with Miss Alma Matthews, the latter winning in the draw. A putting competition was won by AI iss Nancie Fagan and clock croquet by Miss McFarlane. Mrs T. A. Adams was in charge of a produce and work stall. The cricket team to play at Feilding on Saturday will be selected from the following: Edwards, Reeve, Anderson, Murphy, Ingram, Meads, Aiken, Harris, Tattle, McCallum, Andrew, Nesbit, Davoy.
