MASONIC LODGE.
ANNUAL COMMUNICATION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Nov. 23. The annual communication of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealapd took place in Auckland to-day. There was a large attendance of representatives from every part of the Dominionion. The Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, was re-elected and installed as Grand Master, his proposer, Mr M. Thompson, Past Grand Master, paying a warm tribute to the service rendered to Freemasonry and to New Zealand by four representatives of the King, Lord Plunket, Lord Jellicoe, Sir Charles Fergusson and Lord Bledisloe. Lord Bledisloe, having acknowledged the honour of his re-election to the highest Masonic office, Mr S. S. Allen, of Matamata, was appointed pro-Grand Master. A long list of further elective officers submitted by the Board of General Purposes was approved. Mr A. Burns (junior) was appointed Grand Registrar. The next annual communication will be held in Dunedin. The installation of Lord Bledisloe took place in the Town Hall to-night before an attendance of 2500, the ceremony being an impressive one.
