KIT BAGS TO GO.
NEW ARMY STYLES. Received November 23, 12.50 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 22. Following the action which the Army authorities took in June to alter Army uniforms, they have now decided to replace the old kit bag with a pack of which the lower half is detachable and can be left behind when going into battle. The idea is that the new infantryman must run like an athlete across bullet-swept zones, cover to cover. The upper half of the new haversack includes the minimum necessities such as a mess tin, an iron ration aud a cardigan.
