Bradman is - going to Perth to play in a combined eleven against the Englishmen on October 27. He telegraphed to Perth informing the authorities that he was available and a reply was received inviting him to go. Mr Robertson, chairman of the Cricket Board of Control, denied that he stated that Bradman had given an assurance to the board that he would not write for the Press.
