Foxton residents and the community residing between Palmerston North and Foxton will note in our advertising columns that additional arrangements have been made by the Madge Motor Service to meet the requirements of the public in that area. Following the decision of the Hallway Department to discontinue its passenger scrvico on this route, the Madge Service has been going into the matter of how best to meet the position arid especially that of the post primary pupils. To overcome the difficulties of the fixed timetable laid down by the licensing authorities the position was placed before the Transport Board and permission has now been granted to commenco a regular service which will leave Foxton for Palmerston North at 8 a.m. The new arrangement is being tried out principally in the interests of the school pupils, and its continuance will depend largely on the support received. It is the intention of the Madge Service to make every endeavour to furnish the best possiblo travelling facilities between Palmerston North and .Fox.on, with special attention to the requirements of the approaching summer.
