A Press Association telegram from Blenheim announces the death of Mr [Richard Webb Jenkins, aged 79 [years. He was educated at the Nelson | College and was a member of the first ! Rugby team to play in New Zealand. He joined the staff of the Bank of New South Wales and was stationed at Nelson for some years. He was transferred to the West Coast and went to Blenheim as manager in 1890. He retired on superannuation in 1914 and had since resided in Blenheim.
