FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
OROUA LODGE DRUIDS. The regular fortnightly meeting of the Oroua Lodge of Druids was held in the Oddfedows’ Hall, Cuba Street on Tuesday evening, A.D. Bro. Gold presiding over a large attendance Three candidates were balloted for and dulv initiated into the rites of tho Vnciet Druids. An invitation was accepted from Acorn Lodge to a social evening on their next meeting night. It was decided to hold a social and dance next Lodge night, and invitations are beig extended to the various Druids’ lodges in the district. P.S. Bro Mewettt reported on the Hospital Association, and P.D.P. Bro. Elsmo.ro on the U.F.S. Dispensary. At the conclusion of business, the lodge went into harmony and P.S. Bro. Mewett rendered a very interesting address on tho interpretation of different rules. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Bro. Mewett. After the closing of the I 10-lge a dainty supper was served by the si'ters and dancing and games I were fully enjoyed for a short time. I
