CANNING WORKS VISITED.

Received Julv 30 10.5 a.m. OTTAWA, July 29. Messrs Coates, Jones, Tout and Forsyth and Sir Francis Boys visited tho Canadian Packing Company’s meat canning works on tire outskirts of Ottawa and viewed all the processes. They were specially inteiested in the condition of the live cattle after travelling 2000 miles from the west, but they were not impressed with tlie quality of the sheep and lambs.
