(From Our Own Correspondent.) BULLS, Juno 27. Bulls Scouts’ Old Boys’ Association will hold a reunion in Bulls this week.

There was a vory fair attendance at the dance and euchre party held in Parowanui school on Friday evoning. Winners at cards wore Miss IC. Murphy (10£ games) and Miss M. Governor (8i); and Mr S. Toko (124) and Mr R. Bracken (10). Supper was served, and dancing followed. Dance music was supplied by Mrs A. Trembath, Miss E. Murphy, Mr H. Hunia and Mr T. Kingi, and other items were given by Messrs J. Pilbrow, A. Trembath, A. Wilson and T. Kingi. Misses K. Murphy, Teko and E. Murphy delighted with thoir trios.

Mr and Mrs Desmond Gibson, who recently came to livo in Ohakca, were visited by somo thirty or forty friends on Thursday evening, tho “surprise party” including several from Bulls and Marion. A very pleasant evening was spent in dancing, singing and games. Dance musio was provided; by Messrs McMurchrie, Soymour and J. Blacklcr, and songs were rendered by Messrs Blackler and Seymour. Mrs Fanny Wingfiold, whose death is reported from Foxton was one of tho old identities of Rangitikei, coming hero with her lato husband about fifty years ago. The old lady was nono the worso for her experiences in the hard pioneering days, for sho Jived to tho good age of 86 years. Tho Ohakea Hall was crowded on Friday evoning whon residents of tho district tendered a farewoll to Mr D. Murray, Mrs Murray and family, who are leaving shortly for Halcombe. Dancing and cards filled in tho major portion of tho evening, danco music boing supplied by Messrs Dennis, McKinnon and Coleman, and an extra being played by Miss Anderson. Winners at cards were Mrs Gould (Bulls) and Mr W. Higgle, and tho consolation prizes wore won by Mrs Robinson and Mr N. Cockburn. After supper had been served, Mr R. Anderson, chairman of tho Ohakea School Committee, eulogised tho guests of the evening, who had always taken a loading part in social matters. All present regretted their leaving, and thoir sontiments were expressed in an address which ho read and handed to Mr Murray. Then followed tho singing of “For They Aro Jolly Good Fellows,” and rousing choers. Mr J. Simpson endorsed tho previous speakers’ remarks, and presented Mr Murray with a travelling rug and an oiderdown quilt. Mr Murray, on behalf of tho family, responded briefly, stating that what he had done for tho community had been a pleasure.
