CAPTAIN LANCASTER’S TRIAL. NEW YORK. May 18. A Miami report states that appearing in the Circuit Court on a charge of murder, Captain Lancaster pleaded not guilty. The Judge granted the application of the defence for a postponement of the trial to permit a character witness to be brought from England, and tentatively set the date of the next hearing at July 5.
