LITHUANIAN DEFALCATIONS.
KOVNO, May 17. Following six ■ years’ investigation and a trial in which there were 100 witnesses, the former Premier of Lithuania, Vytautas Petrulis, who was accused of defalcations while in offioo ; was sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment and ordered to pay £2050. It was alleged that lie received money from traffickers in alcohol, also for import licenses for cigarettes and yeast.
