WIDER POWERS IN AUSTRALIA. Received May 18, 10.5 a.m. CANBERRA, May 18. The Bill amending tho Commonwealth Crimes Act, to give the Commonwealth wider powers to deal with unlawful associations, has passed the Senate.
UNDESIRABLE ALIENS.
ACTION DEMANDED IN BRITISH COLUMBIA. Received May 18, 12.50 p.m. VANCOUVER, May 17. The British Columbia municipalities are demanding that the Dominion Government amend tho Immigration Act to permit tho deportation of undesirable aliens regardless of time spent in the country. There is a limit of five years now.
