While praying in a church at Guel, near Coblenz (capital of Rhenish Prussia), twenty-five people were trapped by flood waters following a cloudburst. The waters had almost reached to their necks when police rescued them through the roof of the building. Five people were drowned in the same village. Tho cloudburst caused extensive damage to tho Rhineland.
