GRANARY FIRE.

BUILDINGS AND CONTENTS DESTROYED. Per Press Association. ASHBURTON. May 18. A granary and its contents, the property of Mr A. Read, of Eiffelton, was destroyed by fire this morning. The origin of the outbreak is unknown. The insurances on the building are £2OO, and on the machinery, including a car partly burned, £545. A threshing mill, the property of Messrs Campbell and Kelleher, also was destroyed, the insurances on which are unknown.
