NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.

It has always been readily conceded that tho classes provided at the Winter Show covering the art and industrial division are compiled on generous and comprehensive lines, with the result that competition has always been keen. The cash allocation for this year exceeds £IOO. This year’s schedule again covers a wide range in which experts with tho needle and knitting pins can display their skin and ability in the making of useful and ornamental articles for the home. In the home cookery department a full range of choice is provided for housowives and the younger generation who are aspiring to that important position in life, to demonstrate their capabilities in the most important science connected with the material aspect of housekeepering. Prizes in all classes are liboral and generously supplemented by valuable trophies, and special classes are provided for novices and children. In the photography section thero is ample scope given both in the open and amateur 'sections in tho variety of subjects catalogued for the wide range of skill in this captivating art. A perusal of the advertisement appearing on page 1 of this issue draws attention to the closing date for all schedule entries which is Saturday, May 28. Schedules aro free on application to the secretary, Mr W. T. Penny, P.O. Box 85, Palmerston North.
