PAHIATUA.

PAHIATUA, May 17. Mr and Mrs W. J. Dolahunty, Paraparaumu, arc the guests of Mr and Mrs D. Brosnahan, Konini. Mrs A. D.‘ Donald is visiting her daughter at Otaki. Mr J. Roidy, of Waipukurau, is spending the school vacation as the guest of Mr and Mrs Kelly, Konini. Miss B. Wingfield has boon appointed a relieving teacher at the Greytown D.H. School for three months. Mr Harold Studholm, Rongokokako, is a patient in tho Pahiatua private hospital. The services of two of tho unemployed have been engaged to watch the traffic passing over tho town traffic bridge _ and ensure that speeding or overloading is not indulged in. This has been found necessary in view of the shaky state of tho old structure. Tho two men work in eight-hour shifts.
