ASSOCIATION CODE

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting of the management committee of the Manawatu Football Association was held last evening. Mr J. C. Young presided and there were also present us delegates Messrs Kempson, Downes, Facer g and J. B. Snullie (secretary). The Athletic, St. Andrew’s, R.S.A. and Feilding Clubs were also represented. The following clubs notified their intention of entering in the senior competition.—St. Andrew’s, Athletic, block House, R.S.A. and Feilding. All- Facer intimated that To Awe Awo Old Boys, Y.M.C.A., St. Pauls and Terrace End had entered the fifth grade competition. All Saints’ Scouts would possibly enter. Mr Young reported that he had visited the headmasters of the various primary schools with a view to haying the code introduced as an official game. He would arrange a deputation to wait on tho executive body later on. A general discussion took place concerning the affiliation fees and it was decided to reduce those of city clubs from £lO to £7. A motion to reduce the country clubs’ fees from £0 to £i was lost. , ~ , The R.S.A. Club suggested that each week a club bo responsible for the erection and removal of the goalposts, but no action was taken in the matter. , , , , It was decided that clubs take monthly turns on the gate and R.S.A. were appointed for the remainder 01 April and for May. It was decided that the season be opened with friendly games as follow on April 16:—Senior: St. Andrews v. Feilding, at Feilding. All Alardon ; Athletic v. R.S.A. at North Street Park, referee, Rev. C. S. Matthews. Fifth grade : Y.M.C.A. v. lerrace End; To Awe Awe Old Boys v. St. Paul’s. Competition matches are to commence on April 23, the fixtuies being as follow:—Senior: Feilding v. Athletic at Feilding, referee, Mr Pollock, St. Andrew’s v. R.S.A. at North Street Park, referee, Air J. S. son; Flock House, a bye fifth grade: Y.AI.C.A. v. Te Awe Awe Old Boys; St. Paul’s v. Terrace End. It was resolved that season tickets be issued at the cost of 12s 6d for- all games (including Chatham Cup matches) under the jurisdiction ot the Manawatu Football Association. Mr C. E. Downes was appointed convener of the Referees’ Association as during the past season. The appointment of officers of the management committee was left until the next meeting.
