SIR T. R. BAVIN’S SUCCESSOR. SYDNEY, April 5. Mr Bertram Stevens has been elected Leader of the State Parliamentary Opposition and the United Australia Party in succession to Mr T. R. Bavin, who retired last week on account of ill-health.
It was resolved that the Parliamentary party and not its leader shall in future choose a Cabinet.
