LANTERN LECTURE.

LIFE IN - SOUTHERN RHODESIA. An interesting lantern 1 lecture on missionary work in Southern Rhodesia was given in the Church of Christ on Wednesday evening by Mr George Day, who recently returned to Wellington from that country in company with his wife and daughter. During an extended tour abroad Mr Day spent eight weeks on tho mission fields and the scenes reproduced, together -with the lecture’s descriptive account, vividly portrayed tho great work that missionary effort has accomplished among tho natives. A number of scenes of topical interest were also shown, those of special interest being the Victoria Falls and ancient stone walls, the origin of which has not been definitely discovered, the audience being treated to an interesting and instructive evening.
