WOMEN’S CHRISTIAN TEMPERANCE UNION. Per Press Association. WANGANUI, March 10. The Dominion convention of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union opened at Wanganui to-day. The president, Mrs T. T. Taylor, Christchurch, deplored the postponement of the licensing poll, which she described as an irreparable loss of opportunity and a tragic error in tactics. The convention decided to writ© to the presidents of the W.C.T.U. in China and Japan expressing sympathy and encouragement in their efforts for peace.
