AN APPRECIATION.

, (To the Editor). Sir,—ln the name of the musical fraternity of this district may I be permitted, through the agency of your paper, to.pay a. tribute to the memory of the late Mrs W. H. K. Gilmour. The qualities of her personality, and her musicianship have already been spoken

of in -your obituary notice; therefore we would content ourselves by saying how much her qualities were appreciated by her confreres particularly in her association with the choral work of the town, and how deeply her sympathetic attitude was appreciated by those competitors who sought her assistance at the various competition festivals held in the Opera House. The loss of the late Mrs Gilmour will be severely felt in all musical circles.—l ett '’j. HOLMES RUNNICLES. February 24th, 1932.
