BANKRUPT’S AFFAIRS.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Feb. 23. After an examination this morning the Official Assignee decided that the facts in connection with the affairs of John Mong. a mercer, should be referred to the Crown Prosecutor for further investigation. It was mentioned during tire examination of the bankrupt that ho was the winner of the first prize in an art union, and that the whole of the money had gone. Mong said to-day that much of the money had gone in connection with a club he had taken over, and in gambling. Debts due to unsecured creditors were shown at £3267 19s Gd, and assets nil. The total deficiency was set down at £269 4s 6d.
