(From Our Own Correspondent.) OTAKI, Feb. 22. The evening sports held on the domain on Friday by the Otaki Cycle Club were again well patronised. The officials worked well, fcd quite a number of events were held in a limited time. Following are the results: Boys’ race.—J, Evans 1, L Lowry 2. Girls’ race.—J. Jacob 1, H. Cook 2. One mile cyole.—Entrants, Fogdon 135, Thomson 85, Mousiaux 140, L." Coulter 95, Dent 100, Noble 15, B. Coulter 45: Coulter rode a (jpe _ race and won by half a wheel from Houiaux, who also rode splendidly; Noble third; time, 2 27. 100yds handicap:—Jepson 1, McLeod and Henry, a dead heat, 2. Girls’ three-legged race: —N. Budge and H. Cook 1, C. I. Jacob and B. Brant and L. Noble and J. Jacob, dead heat, 3. Boys’ three-legged race: —Piki and Te Hana 1, Merwood and Garrity 2.
