, MANAWATU CLUB. The Manawatu Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club conducted a meeting at the Snortsground last evening. Ther© was a good attendance of spectators and the races were keenly contested. The results of tli© events were as follow: A grade, half-mile—Mutch 1, Casey 2, Astin 3. , A grade, two miles. —Casey 1, Mutch 2, McKenzie 3. „ , B grade, one mile. —Gardner 1, Halpin 2, Lawrence 3. B grade, three miles.—Lawrence 1, Gardner 2, Walker 3. Boys’ race.—Goldfinch 1, Pritchard 2. CYCLING HANDICAPS. The following are the handicaps declared by Messrs P. Griffen and T. Bruce for the Palmerston North Cycling and Athletic Club’s evening meeting at the Sports, ground on Wednesday (cycle races, one mile and two mile).—E.
