Tardieu has formed a Cabinet of 13 members, with himself as Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs. There are eight fewer portfolios than in the previous Ministry. Several Ministries have been combined, and an innovation is the Ministry of National Defence, absorbing the portfoKos of War and the Navy. M. Laval takes Labour, M. Flandm, Finance, M. Pietri, National Defence, M. Mahieu, Interior, and M. Reynaud, JiKt cep res jj erv |. iece i ve d the Ministry at 12.30 o’clock to-day. The Government will meet Parliament on Tuesday, and M. Tardieu will return to Geneva on Wednesday. ~ , . , Painleve abandoned the task of forming a Cabinet owing to the refusal of the Right and Centre leaders, M. Laval, M. Tardieu and M. Iteynaud, to join.
