Lang to comply with the provisions of the financial agreement and to honour his obligations to the Commonwealth came as a complete surprise to the House. x l . V. ■ Tho Beasley group attempted to stonewall tho introduction of the' Bill when Mr J. A. Lyons moved the adjournment of the Address-in-Reply debate. This led to the first division in tho new Parliament, the Government winning by 60 votes to 6, the opponents being five Beasley-ites and Mr Holloway. INTEREST AVAILABLE IN NEW YORK.
