MARQUEE MISSION.

The final service of tlie Marquee Mission was held in the tent last evening, when a very large number of people attended, and fourteen stepped out to confess Christ. Everybody' was amazed at the response to the tlianks-offering appeal; over £6OO was given. The offerings included gilts of land,. voluntary labour, sums of money, and promises. The cash gifts included individual amounts of £IOO, £6O and downwards to small sums. Most of this money will remain in . Palmerston North. The land remains the property of the local church; Mr C. Dahl receives pay-' ment for a new top to the mission tent; some is being used to enlarge the chapel. Messrs Hinrichsen and Morris do not receive an additional penny from the thank-offering. All that is over and above the local ex-, penses mentioned goes to the home missionary committee to be used for the conducting of further tent missions. The marquee is already on its way to Auckland in readiness for another mission at Onehunga to commence on Sunday. At last night’s service Air Hinnclrsen made special mention of the kindness of Mr C. Dahl in loaning the tents necessary to the carrying on of the mission while the new top was being made tor the mission tent. To-night a farewell service will be held in the Campbell Street chapel at 7.30. Everybody is welcome. There will he a baptismal service.
