FATAL INJURIES.

INVERCARGILL, Aug. 20.

Dennis Ryan, a single man, of Invercargill, was knocked down by a car on the north road this evening and received injuries to his head which subsequently proved fatal. It is stated that in company with another man, he was walking along the road wheeling a bicycle when he was overtaken by a motorist. The ambulance was called, but Mr Ryan died before he reached hospital.
