OROUA DOWNS, Aug. 18. On Friday evening a very successful rifle match was held in the local hall. The match was between Awahuri and Oroua Downs, the former team winning in both grades, "and the occasion being the first win for Awahuri B grade. The following were the scores:—Awahuri A grade: 'l° Cribb, 66—67—133; J. Milligan, 69—67 136; W. Odgers, 66—66—131; J. Print, 67—67—134; E. Vix, 68—65—133; il. Mathews, 63—68—131; D. Forbes, 64—64 128; L. l-lendereon, 66—65—151; total, 1057. Oroua Downs A grade: W. J. Spicer, 67 —69 —136; J. Conlan, 68—66 134; C. Christensen, 62—67—129 ■ D II Funnell, 65—62—127; C. Robertson, 66—58—124; total, 602. Owing to incloment weather on Monday evening no shoot was held at the local club’s range. I’ho parents of primary school children are now busy preparing fancy drosses for their children as the fancy ball is being held this week after tho school break-up.
