NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN
MR CHICHESTER’S INJURIES.
SOME WEEKS TO RECOVER,
JAPANESE FLIER’S REGRETS
(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) KOBE, Aug. 17.
The British Consul visited Mr F. C. Chichester, and reports that the condition of the airman is serious, but not desperate. He lias a wound in his thigh and an internal injury to his chest; his back is bruised, and an arm is broken. His eye is not dangerously injured, and his recovery is possible in three weeks.
The naval aviator, Lieutenant Mitsuwa, has voiced his profound regrets. He is surprised at the official orders directing a route through Katsuura because it is a very dangerous place for aviation. The official belief is that the avoidance of fortifications is most important.
