BAPTIST MINISTER KILLED.

Rev. George Wainwright, a retired Baptist minister, aged 78 was hit by a motor car and killed while closing tho roadway to his home at Sanely Bay, Tasmania, ‘in company with his wife and granddaughter. Mr Wainwright was the fathor of tho Mayoress of Hobart (Mrs J. Soundy). He was at one time minister of the Baptist Church at Bournemouth (England) and served periods of pastorate at Perth, Geelong, Launceston and Hobart and in New Zealand. Ho was twice married, and leaves three daughters of his first marriage. .
