Mr Brechin stated that the directors of the Pahiaiua Company had decided jo send its full-cream show cheese to Old Country to ascertain whether it suited the tastes cf British consumers better titan the Cheddar cheese that was_ being exported by the company. Application was made to ’the grading department to permit full-cream crates to be used for the shipping of the cheese instead of the Cheddar crates used bv the company. The graders had replied that as the company was registered as a Cheddar company. only Cheddar crates could be used.
