DAIRY FARMERS’ UNION

OPIKI BRANCH. A well attended monthly meeting of the Opiki branch of the Dairy f- armera’ Union was held in the school last jreek. The president. Mr H. Seifert, occupied the chair, and opened the meeting by introducing the guest of the evening, Mr K. J. Faivcett. if.A., farm economist. Department of Agriculture. Wellington, who had kindly consented to address the members of the local branch on how the Jaw of averages works out in connection with breeding troubles and other diseases, and the deductions which could be made from this study.
