The Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty, Mr Charles Amnion, during iiis reply'to a deputation received at the Admiralty to-day, declared that if the Navy were to revert to coal it would mean accepting a handicap in design which would be a most serious setback. Mr. Ammon added that this could not now be undertaken without grave prejudice to the strength of the fleet and its operating efficiency.
