ANGRY SCENE IN COMMONS. LABOUR AIEAIBER EJECTED. SERGEANT-AT-ARMS DEFIED. (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copy ri gilt.) Received July 3, 9.10 a.m. LONDON, July 2. There was an angry scene in the House of Commons to-day. Air J. AlcGovern (Labour) demanded tlie release of laymen who were imprisoned for preaching on Glasgow Green. He declined to resumo his seat, and was suspended. He defied the Ser-geant-at-Anns, upon which four attendants seized Air AlcGovern. Several Clydeside back-benchers attempted to obstruct the attendants in their duty, and the Speaker had to suspend the sitting. The Speaker later announced that Air AlcGovern would be suspended for tlie remainder of the session. LIBERAL PARTY. ANOTHER DEFECTION. "LONDON, July 2. Lord Stanley of Alderley has resigned the presidency of the Lancashire and pheshire Liberal Federation.
Other resignations of Liberals' this week have included those of Sir John Simon, Viscount Allendale and £>ir R. Hutchison.
