AUCKLAND, April 21. Alexander Thomas Elliott, of Knox Street. Hamilton, a bachelor, aged 50, metaphorically was ‘‘struck speechless” to-day when he was informed that a resident of Hamilton hearing the initials “A.T.E.” had won £13,800 in a consultation on the Svdnev Cup. f Mr Elliott admitted that he held a £1 ticket in this sweep, but said that he had heard nothing since the ticket had been received. Mr Elliott is a native of Auckland and has lived at Hamilton for 3b years. He is employed bv Mr H. H. Howden, h Hamilton jeweller, 'and resides with Miss Elliott, an unmarried sister.
