MR CHICHESTER’S FLIGHT.
’PLANE MAY BE REPAIRED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 10. The completion of the trans-Tas-man flight by Mr F. C. Chichester, which was brought to a sudden suspension by the capsizing of his seaplane at Lord Howe Island, is foreshadowed in a. cable received by his business partner, Mr G. D. M. Goodwin, to-day. Mr Chichester’s cable stated that the machine was not so seriously damaged by the mishap as was at first believed. The main damage was the breaking of 27 wing ribs. He is sending the two wings to Sydney for repair, and is hopeful that he will be able to resume the flight.
