PALMERSTON NORTH CITY BAND.

The monthly committee meeting of the Palmerston North City Band was held on Friday evening, there being S resent:—Messrs H. Jackson (chair), [. N. Wood. G. Withers, G. Richardson, R. Mechen, W. H. Boyce, J. B. Thomson (lion conductor) and R. Garner (lion, secretary). The conductor reported that the playing during the carolling season was very satisfactory. It was decided to forward letters of thanks to local firms for donations. Mr H. Jackson was appointed bandmaster. A set of rules drawn up by the conductor was approved. Arrangements were finalised for holding regular practices on Tuesday and Thursaav evenings. Accounts amounting to £o 2s 9d were passed for payment.
